Finding your tribe

One my goals for this year was to find my tribe of like minded people who shared my passion to step out of faith and pursue their purpose. My pursuit to finding my tribe wasn’t a simple process. I joined numerous groups on Facebook hoping I would finally find my tribe. I learned a lot of some of these amazing groups. There were a few groups I joined that turned out to be loaded with spam. Of course I removed myself from them.  My goal was to join groups, where I could learn and connect with people  and not be bombarded with spam.

My vision for this ideal group grew more as I searched feverishly . I wanted a group , where I could share my ups and downs, my pain, frustration and sometimes struggles. It took 6 months for me to find this group. It comprised of 10 like minded women.  A small intimate group that knows how to support each other.

During our first conference call, I had chills all over my body. I knew that I made the right decision. Since joining the group I had made so much progress . This  tribe pushed me beyond my wildest dreams.  I am proud to be part of this amazing tribe. I have been blessed with so  many wonderful people who continue to support, encourage , and motivate me to be the best I can be.

As I grow older, my belief regarding coincidence has changed.  I believe God placed the right people into my life. It wasn’t by accident. It was on purpose and for a reason. Sometimes the reason is clear and other times it is clouded. However , at the right time it is revealed. Divine connection is real.

It is important to align yourself with people who have similar goals as yourself. This is especially true when you are pursuing  a life changing goal such as losing weight or starting your own business.

Are you actively looking for a tribe ?  Facebook is a great place to start.  It might take some trial and error, but it will be worth it. Your life will change for the better. Another place is Meetup.com.  You can actually join a meet up group and socialize in person instead of behind the screen.  How cool is that?  Whatever your interest may be, there is a meet up group for it. Go out and  find your tribe.

Yeah, it’s really important. You really have to surround yourself with cheer. Being with like-minded people who know what you go through is a must. Otherwise, it’s much too hard!
