Benefits of the Lotus Pose

The lotus pose is a way to open up your hips and create flexibility in the ankles and knees. It is a cross-legged sitting pose .

It is pronounced pa- da- maa- sun -aa

Padma means lotus and asana means pose or posture.

This pose is like a flower, calm and still .  This pose is a great way to practice mediation allowing to be still and one as your mind calms itself.
